gorgeous work, my sister in the ardour of arbor. verily the magic is here. i love the portal in i think the 2nd photograph, not sure cos i think sbstk will delete what I've written if i go back to check, but I'm pretty sure you will know which one i mean.
trees (all of nature, really) remind me of a passage in the bible i hear every now and then, which i guess people think it's about their god in heaven but i think it's about god on earth, mother nature: "and the light shineth in the darkness, yet the darkness comprehendeth it not."
Absolutely!! For me it’s like ancient magic, a sign of eternity. The portal in the 2nd one is the sun shining through the branches and the reason why I chose this one for the post. I believe the ancient magic hits more in b/w. This day was kinda special because I got so many good shots!!
i have been in uncut old growth forests here in south eastern Australia where 500, 600 year old mountain grey gums, 100 metres apart, grow along the exact same contours, invisible lines of action potential emanating from the Earth in that location, able to line them up and see these energy fields populated by the materia of Tree, created by invisible yet highly sensable forces dismissed by most as fancy...
only with my eyes. was blockading, the entire valley erased for toilet and office paper. but now i see the shape of trees and grasses as painting along these same lines of energy, at once following and creating, exploring and mapping with their structure these very same emanating fractal fields. i see them in your work, the form repeated by certain trunks in similar locations, yes it is about reaching for light, and also the tree's "habit"—the way different species branch, the curve or otherwise, the angle of each branch to the parent limb, the angle of each limb to the parent trunk— and also i believe, the character of the Earth's emanation in each location, all intertwined. it took those ancient Giants in those undisturbed remnants of gondwanaland forest to paint it out for me on such a huge scale to really open my eyes to the invisible energy field that plants describe with their forms.
Did you ever read the Celestine Prophecy? Your description reminds me of it. I totally understand what you mean. It’s the feeling I get looking at trees, water, nature in general. It’s some kind of safety for me.
Do you know what perfect means Wildflower? Perfect is this black and white photos. This is actually the best newsletter I've read today and the fact that it's so simple but so meaningful is what makes it so amazing. Thanks a million 😊
